Childproof? Not!
A week or so ago I gave Caleb their vitamin jar to play with while he was in his highchair. A minute later I realized he had the top off - a childproof top. I figured I didn't put the top all the way on, so I put it back on, made sure it clicked and gave it back to him. Within 30 seconds he had the top back off. Okay, this kid is too smart - and strong! Half the time I can't even get the childproof tops off! I actually forgot about it until a few days later, I was in the kitchen and Carter came in with this "I'm doing something wrong look on his face" and chewing something. I asked and he told me he was eating a vitamin. I go in the dining room and there is Caleb, up in a chair, with the top of the vitamins off and a mouth full. Luckily there had only been about 4 or 5 in the jar and there were still 2 left. I put all vitamins away and mentally made a note about Caleb's unusual abilities. Unfortunately at this time of my life mental notes get lost and forgotten. This morning I headed to the dentist and left Sam with the boys. On the way there Sam called. He had been helping Carter wash his hands and heard a strange noise in the dining room. He went in to find Caleb up on a dining room chair with my vitamins poured out on the dining room table. Yes, he had once again opened the childproof container and no, he didn't eat any.
I have to say that I'm impressed - and a little worried.
