Obsessed

Okay - so I've been a little obsessed with bargains lately and a little slack with blogs. I have been told by my "oh so tactful" husband that I am wasting a lot of time to save a little money. I disagree. I get such enjoyment out of getting a good deal. Just today I went to Publix and spent $20 and saved $45. I got Morning Star Veggie Burgers for $0.90 each (they are regularly $3.79 each). What a rush!! I got tubs of Huggies wipes (the only wipe worth anything IMO) for $0.50 the other day at Walgreens!! So if I take a few hours to get the deals and coupons it is worth it to me. I just finished a gift card deal where I ended up spending about $40 on "free trials" and will get a $500 gift card! I love it!! So anyway, in the next few days I will try and post a "summer review" of picture.

The boys are growing by leaps and bounds and for the most part get along very well. We still have quite a ways to go on being kind to others and doing things that show God's love. However, there are moments when non-mom initiated moments occur. This evening I took the boys to "Old McDonalds" for dinner. After eating they ran off to play. There is one place where the step is too big for Caleb to get up. He was up there crying because he couldn't get up so I sent Carter up to help boost him up. A little later they got in with a group of kids and were going full speed - up the play structure, through the play structure, down the slide - yelling the entire time. They were having a blast. I watched them go up and then when they got to the big step, Carter stopped. He was second at the front and he let all the other kids run past until Caleb got there. Then he helped Caleb up and they ran to catch up. So of course there I am in "Old McDonald's" tears in my eyes, so proud of my big boy. He did it everytime - go up at the front of the group, wait for Caleb, help him up and then keep going full speed. I even heard him call Caleb a couple of times - "Caleb, are you coming?" Now in case you are too impressed - I also saw him almost knock down a girl to be the first one up the little steps. Brotherly love - check, chivalry - needs improvement!
