What a night!

I don't know why Carter can't get back to sleep sometimes.  Last night he woke up at 10:45 and didn't go back to sleep until almost 2!  He kept getting up and Sam or I would put him back.  Finally I started spanking him and told him he couldn't get out of bed.  Several times he said, "I just need something to drink Mommy."  I gave him water but it didn't help.  I tried to be patient - it's not his fault he can't go back to sleep, but after several hours it is hard to not get angry.  So I didn't get to sleep until 2, then he woke up at 6:15!!  I got in bed with him and he went back to sleep but of course Caleb woke up at 7!  Luckily Carter slept until 8:30 - otherwise he would have not been fun at all!!  

Sam brought me flowers this evening for mother's day.  He "accidentally" scheduled work on Mother's Day so I have declared tomorrow my Mother's Day.  I am going back to sleep in the morning after I feed Caleb and then I am spending the day getting my scrapbook area finally finished.  I am looking forward to it!!
