Loving Right Now

Caleb - 18 months

-gives kisses spontaneously and whenever asked
-says "no" as "muh" with a vigorous half shake of the head
-says "yes" as "uh uh" with an exaggerated nod
-will eat 3 helpings of broccoli - the same for lima beans
-has changed both baby sign language signs I taught him (please and more) into totally different motions - customized them I say
-walks around bent over, legs bent, head tilted to the side with a funny grin on his face
-swings his left arm when he walks
-sucks left first two fingers and drags his blanket over his shoulder or shoved under his chin
-falls in our laps, looks at us and says "Mama? Mama?" (or Dada) and we say "Caleb? Caleb?" then he grins and walks away
-HATES for Carter to be asleep if he is awake and will frequently throw a tantrum until "Bruba" (aka brother) is woken up
-calls Carter "Bruba"
-pulls his shirt up and comes to you for tummy kisses
-stands at the top of the stairs and yells, "MAma, MAma" (okay I don't always love this)
-puts his finger up his nose and "shushes" when we stand at the window to look at the birds at our bird feeder
-says cereal "aireaul"
-loves to snuggle and be held

Carter - 3 1/2 years
-juts out his chin while doing his train whistle "whoo, whoo!" - loudly
-obsessed with trains
-loves to read and will listen to me read from Beatrix Potter and the original Winnie the Pooh with very few pictures
-loves Caleb and gets very upset if he thinks Caleb is in harm's way
-loves to be thrown on the bed by Daddy - the higher the better
-spontaneously tells us thank you for doing different things
-loves babies - especially Baby 'Ne (baby Renee) and wants to hold them and give them toys
-still sucks his thumb and as he has since he was 6 months old - loves to hold your thumb while sucking his thumb
-cries if watching a program where someone is emotionally hurt or getting in trouble
-sensitive and compassionate
-sleeps with his hand on a baby doll - I know he will HATE that I wrote this when he gets to be a teenager!!
-loves to snuggle and be held
