OK, OK - I'll write something!
I have been informed that I need to stop being slack and get back to writing on this blog. Sorry Grandma and Katherine! I have been busy with a consignment sale that I sold and bought at this past weekend so my evenings have been spent going through and tagging clothes and toys. I made $99 and spent $98. So I came out even!
Caleb has been keeping us entertained with his cute expressions and bringing us books to read. He has recently discovered his nostrils. As in "There is a hole that I can put things into". The first time was a Cheerio. We were eating breakfast and I looked at him - he was pointing at his nose and saying - "uh, uh." I see a little bit of Cheerio sticking out of his nose. Quickly I pressed the top of his nose so he couldn't sniff it up and then I stuck a fingernail up his nose and barely managed to pry it out of his nose. So what does he do? Immediately start to put another Cheerio up the other nostril. Sam yelled, "No Caleb!" at which Caleb totally lost it crying (as he always does when Daddy says no and never does when Mommy says no). We thought this would end the food up the nose. We were wrong. A couple of days ago the boys were sitting on the couch watching their afternoon Little Bear and eating raisins while I sat on the floor folding clothes. I looked over at Caleb and there was the finger on the nose and the same, "uh, uh." I didn't see anything but thought I should check it out as a raisin is the perfect nostril size. Sure enough there is a raisin all the way up his nostril. Again I had to manage to get the raisin out without pushing it up any farther into his nose. And as soon as I get it out - he tries to put another one in. This kid is going to give me gray hair.
We had to take Sarah to Urgent Care for a raisin up the nose! Tip from nurse - if the "object" is inserted too far to get out you need to put your finger over the nose that does not have something wedged in it and then blow hard into the mouth. The said object will fly out!
Good luck, Sarah was three and still doing it!
