We need some target practice
Yesterday Carter went to the potty by himself as he has been doing for a couple of weeks. 8 out of 10 times everything makes it in - no problem. The other times he misses. Usually it is a little miss, sometimes a big miss. This generally happens when he is trying to "aim" and overcorrects. Yesterday I thought Carter had been in there a little too long. I went to check on him and found him on his hands and knees with a little piece of toilet paper trying to clean up a large puddle. The strange thing was this puddle was about 2 feet opposite of the toilet - behind where Carter would have been standing. I still can't figure out how he managed to tinkle on the floor 2 feet behind him! There wasn't even a "trail," although the back of his pants were wet. I think we need some more target practice - maybe some floating Cheerios?
The cheerios comment made me laugh out loud. :) It reminds me of the ONE time I actually got Adam inside Babies R Us when I was preggo with Sam. He saw little "floating targets" - they looked like large Fruit Loops - and wanted to buy some right then & there. Good thing we didn't - it's been well over 3 years & since we're STILL not potty training I know they'd be LOST long before we ever needed them!
