Oh my aching back!

I lifted Caleb out of his highchair this morning and as I lowered him down to the floor - stop - can't move - drop Caleb to the floor (only a couple of inches).  I don't know why my back does this every so often.  It just seizes up and I'm out.  So I spent the morning on the couch while the heating guy tried to fix our heat - his fix still isn't fixing the problem all the way so he is going to have to talk to the manufacturer and try and figure out what is wrong.  Of course we know that the original installers were incompetent and our builder was cheap - that is the problem.  Luckily by the afternoon the Advil had kicked in and I was able to walk around.

Funny stories for today!

Carter and  I were going through the different Bible verses he has learned so far in our preschool that correspond with the letters of the alphabet.  We said the A verse, the B verse then got to C.  I have to prompt him with the beginning of the verse but he remembers it after that.  So I said, "Children..."  And he said, "obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right C is for cookie that's good enough for me."  Um, that would be the Bible according to the Cookie Monster I believe.

Then we were discussing the G verse - "For God so loved the world he gave his only Son."  I asked Carter if he knew who God's son was.  I then told him that God's son was Jesus. That's what we celebrate at Christmas.   He asked where was Christmas.  I said that Christmas was a day - the day we celebrate Jesus' birth.  He said, "No Mommy.  Christmas is at the mall.  We saw it the other day - remember?"

And of course we have my darling Caleb.  Boy is he going to be tough - tough to discipline him like he is going to need to be - he's too darn cute!!  I had put Carter in time out for disobeying.  He was sitting on the timeout mat and protesting with his voice.  I went to tell him to stop yelling and Caleb followed me into the dining room.  He then went over to Carter sat down on the floor beside him, looked at me and yelled.  Then he laughed, got up and went off to play.  Oh we are in trouble with that little guy!!
